This is the story of my bracelet project
I originally was inspired to start the bracelet project one night when I was suffering some very dark sundowners depression after working every day for months straight and not having any sort of free time to myself let alone a social life. I felt very alone and like I had no one in the world. That’s when it occurred to me that there were lots of other people in the world feeling the same way which is silly because when you think really about it we’re actually all together united by this common thread of loneliness. I then started to wonder about all of my friends and family spread out all over the world and hope that each of them was happy in that moment and in a good place in their lives. If these people all cross my mind just maybe I cross theirs too.
So if you’re receiving one of these bracelets from me it’s because I will always consider you a friend or family and someone that I love and care about. You might be a friend from the distant past that I haven’t seen or spoken to in years that I am cheering for from afar or you may be a new friend in my life that I hope to keep by my side as I continue this adventure we call life or you may be someone from my past but also my present and hopefully my future.
No matter which of these three categories you fall in to please know that even if we don’t talk for years or even decades if you ever need anything please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m just a call, text, email, DM, IM, etc. away. I have always cared about people and always will care about people. If you’re receiving this bracelet it’s because you have made an impact on my life at some point and are important to me.
Humans are our greatest resource on earth and we need to treasure that.
As for the bracelet you can wear it if you like but I don’t expect you to. I just ask that you keep it safe somewhere. You could keep it in a jewelry box or sock drawer or keychain, etc. I’ll let you choose. Just store it somewhere so that whenever you see it you know I’m still out here thinking and caring about you and so are so many people no matter how dark life can get sometimes.
